WIEN, Austria, Dec. 15, 2008 - Femtolasers Produktions GmbH has introduced an additional Femtopower ultrafast amplifier available in a 5 mJ and 10 kHz model.

The amplifier offers repetition rates up to 10 kHz and pulse duration down to sub-25 fs. Sub-7 fs pulses are available from the company’s Kaleidoscope hollow fiber compressor.Femtopower.jpg

Combining the company’s amplifier with the Femtosource rainbow seed oscillator, it delivers stability and low carrier-envelope-phase (CEP) noise. The CEP stabilization feedback signal is derived from the proprietary compact and robust difference frequency generation approach that utilize the ultrabroad bandwidth of the oscillator.

The system generates short, high energy optical pulses using its proprietary sealed vacuum chamber system for the amplifier crystal and its dispersive mirror technology for dispersion management.

It is suitable for attosecond- and intense laser science. Applications include Atto science, high harmonic generation, including x-ray generation, time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopy, femtochemistry, coherent THz generation and materials processing.
