BOSTON, Jan. 26, 2009 – An ultralow-frequency vibration-isolation workstation for lighter loads has been introduced by Kinetic Systems Inc. The 2800 series LLHP is designed to meet the requirements of sensitive equipment weighing in the 50- to 90-kg range.

The tabletop system – with or without mounting holes – is constructed with a lightweight aluminum extruded core measuring 76 × 76 × 5 cm, with a variety of other composite cores available upon request.Kinetic Systems Vibration.jpg

The proprietary trifilar pendulum mounts and active air suspension provide typical isolation efficiencies of 96% vertical and 97% horizontal at ≥10 Hz.

The compact and ergonomic design incorporates automatic leveling and delivers natural frequencies of 1.1 Hz along the horizontal axis and 1.4 Hz along the vertical, making the tables suitable for supporting atomic force microscopes and analytical balances.

The tables, suitable for use in the semiconductor processing, telecommunications, aerospace engineering and medical research fields, can be configured for Class 100 cleanroom compatibility and fitted with a variety of accessories to increase user comfort. These include padded armrests, overhead equipment shelves, monitor stands and power outlets.
