TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 29, 2009 – Princeton Instruments has announced its ProEM electron-multiplying (EM) CCD camera platform, which is designed for use in low-light applications associated with single-molecule fluorescence, astronomy and ion imaging as well as high-frame-rate, light-restricted applications. The instrument uses 512 × 512 and 1024 ×1024-pixel back-illuminated EMCCDs and supports both electron-multiplying and traditional readout ports.
