CoolLED has introduced the pE-2 collimator for its four-wavelength precisExcite system. It offers independent control for each fluorophore when exciting cyan fluorescent protein and yellow fluorescent protein or GFP and mCherry (or dsRed). It does not require the use of an excitation filter wheel, and it can achieve solid-state switching of excitation wavelengths in microseconds.
