Spectronics Corp. has released the DigiCam, a gel documentation system that features a compact darkroom hood. Its 12.1-megapixel digital color camera offers automatic zoom and a standard UV/IR filter. The camera’s output works with GeneLine ImageAide software to provide analysis of 1-D fluorescent gels, autorad films, spot blots and colony plates. It also provides for band quantification and matching.
