Two gel imaging systems have been released by Carestream Molecular Imaging, a division of Carestream Health Inc., for in vitro applications in life sciences research laboratories. The Kodak Gel Logic 112 and Kodak Gel Logic 212 systems offer image quality and data acquisition for documenting and analyzing electrophoresis gels, and colorimetric blots and plates. Both systems feature a scientific-grade 1.4-million-pixel CCD camera that can accumulate up to 14 bits of data. The 212 model can be upgraded to the Kodak Gel Logic 1500 and 2200 imaging systems.
