Andor Technology plc has introduced the ALC-500 solid-state laser combiner, an upgrade for the company’s Revolution microscopy systems. The device offers up to five solid-state laser lines in the 400- to 650-nm range, making it useful for photoactivation and confocal and TIRF microscopy. Fully loaded, the combiner consumes only a few hundred watts.
