SVS-Vistek GmbH has released the SVCam-ECO line of CCD cameras to support the industrial image transfer protocol of Gigabit Ethernet. Available in four resolutions and with both monochrome and colour sensors, the cameras are designed to reach high frame rates at low signal-to-noise ratios. Exposure time, which can be extended for low-light-level conditions, can be controlled via Ethernet interface or over trigger pulse width. The cameras are enclosed in a very small housing and feature cable lengths up to 100 m. They operate at temperatures from –10 to 40 °C.
