WAYNE, N.J., March 5, 2009 – Fujinon Inc. is introducing a 3-megapixel, auto iris DC-type vari-focal lens designed for day/night operation. Specialized optics in the YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2 provide crisp color images in daylight, and black-and-white images in darkness, without the need to refocus. The focal length range is from 2.8 to 6 mm and aperture range is from f/1.3 to T360. The lens provides a 101° horizontal angle of view at 2.8 mm. Fujinon-lenses.jpg

Designed for CS-mounts and a 1/3-in. camera format, the lens does not compromise on width or megapixel resolution clarity. It incorporates proprietary “AT” aspheric technology, developed by the company’s broadcast television division, to improve optical performance while reducing overall size and weight. The lens’ compact size and light weight make it suitable for use in outdoor domes and in security applications. 

Locking screws for zoom and focus and rugged metal mounts are standard features.
