Micronor.jpgUnveiled by Micronor Inc., the MR316ZapFree fiber optic rotary encoder is designed for heavy-duty industrial motor drive applications that require electromagnetic interference immunity, Atex compliance, IP66 ingress protection, and operation in hazardous locations and in extreme temperatures ranging from –60 to 150 °C. The all-optical and totally passive design of the rotary speed/position sensor offers immunity to lightning and atmospheric static. The encoder uses wavelength division multiplexing technology, assigning each internal optical path to a wavelength so that all wavelengths/paths can be combined onto a single fiber.
