The LBC8000 from 3-Edge GmbH is a fully configurable all-in-one laser diode bar and stack characterization system. It has various driver options reaching up to 125/220 A at 40 μs with a 1-ms pulse width, and it handles standard and custom mounts. Featuring automated laser-induced voltage, it offers far-field, near-field and wavelength measurement as well as “smile” calculation to a vertical position accuracy of ±0.1 μm. The instrument has applications in failure analysis, quality control and research.
