LeicaMicrosystems.jpgLeica Microsystems GmbH has introduced another generation of digital microscopes for biological sciences, the DM4000 B, the DM5000 B, the DM5500 B and the DM6000 B. All of the microscopes are automated to various degrees, and they have a display integrated into their bases. All but the DM4000 B allow touch-screen operation and have an option for an external display that enables remote control. The DM4000 B, DM5000 B and DM5500 B come with manual seven-position objective turrets with absolute coding, and the DM4000 B also is available with a six-position turret.
