MINNEAPOLIS, May 22, 2009 – Sick Inc. has launched the Inspector I20 Flex vision sensor with features that include interchangeable lenses and an input/output extension module with up to 16 outputs, making the sensor suitable for use in high-speed quality control and inspection applications in the packaging industry. It offers 4.3-, 6- (included with the device), 10- and 16-mm interchangeable lens options that make it easy to quickly alter the field of view based on the type of application. It features an extended input/output module that enables users to program up to 19 outputs. These additional outputs, along with the system’s ability to logically combine detailed inspection tools, provide improved confirmation on pass/fail inspections. Parts can be analyzed precisely, regardless of the angle at which or the orientation in which a product comes down the line.
