The FiberLight from Heraeus Noblelight GmbH is a small light source for the UV, visible and near-IR spectral range. Its miniature, electrodeless deuterium lamp consumes only 3 W. This handheld, battery-operated spectroscopy instrument features a shine-through arrangement of deuterium and tungsten lamps, shutter, optical system with SMA connector and power supply for both lamps. All elements are mounted on a circuit board and are triggered externally by transistor-transistor logic contacts.
