AsylumResearch.jpgAsylum Research Corp. has unveiled a CoolerHeater accessory for use in polymer studies and other research requiring cooling and heating. Designed for use with the proprietary MFP-3D atomic force microscopy platform, the device uses a Peltier element to cool samples down to –35 °C and to heat them up to 120 °C, with the temperature and heating rate set and controlled through the software. It can be sealed for use in air or in a controlled gaseous environment, and the heating element is liquid-tight.
