Gigabit Ethernet Camera Line
OBERSULM, Germany, Aug. 5, 2009 – IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has launched the GigE uEyeRE line of rugged cameras that are IP65/67-compliant. Able to perform in dusty and wet environments, the cameras are supplied with a Gigabit Ethernet interface that enables high-speed image acquisition with cable lengths of up to 100 m.

IDS-PRI-GigE.jpgThey are packaged in a compact housing and are suitable for use in indoor and outdoor vision applications. Available with CCD and CMOS sensors, they produce resolutions ranging from VGA up to 10 megapixel.

Offered in color and monochrome versions, the cameras include asynchronous trigger and are equipped with a 1/2-, 1/3- or a 1/1.8-in. sensor, depending upon the model. The various models deliver operating speeds of 12, 14, 15, 23, 25, 30, 35, 52, 75 and 100 fps.

They are shipped with an extensive software bundle to allow for easy integration into any application. A comprehensive software development kit and third party drivers for most image processing software applications are included. For customers who want to use a common software interface to achieve camera interoperability, the company offers DirectShow and GeniCam support with the cameras.
