Temperature Controllers
GROVER BEACH, Calif., Aug. 12, 2009 – Arroyo Instruments has introduced the 585 series TECPak compact, high-power, fully integrated OEM modules for temperature control. They can be used independently or in conjunction with a LaserPak to form a complete system. In addition to USB and RS-232 interfaces, there also is an analog control interface that enables operation without the need for a computer and that allows the user to turn the output on and off, to monitor actual temperature via the analog out and to receive an indication that the unit has stabilized.

The controllers offer <0.004 °C stability over 1 h and 0.01 °C over 24 h and are available in 24- and 55-W standard configurations, with custom configurations available. A free software program, ArroyoControl, allows for complete operation of the unit from a PC, with no programming required. The modules support password-protected limits to control operation in production and educational applications.

The 585-03-08 version offers 3-A/8-V thermoelectric control power and supports thermistor sensors with 10- or 100-µA bias current. It is supplied with eight factory-set gain settings for the temperature control loop. The 585-05-12 version provides 5-A/12-V thermoelectric control power and supports the same thermistor sensors. It is supplied with 12 factory-set gain settings for the temperature control loop.

Both models measure 77 × 115 × 216 mm and operate from 10 to 40 °C.
