PhotonicCleaningTech.jpgPhotonic Cleaning Technologies LLC has launched First Contact, a red polymer in solution for cleaning optics. The substance can be applied by spraying, brushing or pipetting — methods of application that prevent scratching of the surface. Peeling off the polymer film removes skin oils and fragments, cleans contaminants and nanoparticles, and protects substrates from airborne contaminants. The cleaner is suitable for first-surface mirrors, optical glass, linear and nonlinear crystals, diffraction gratings, optical thin films, Si, Ge, ZnSe, NaCl, KBr and KRS-5.
