The Alba FLIM confocal microscopy workstation from ISS supports a variety of imaging applications. The included Vista software enables the acquisition and analysis of data from fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy, Förster resonance energy transfer, and fluorescence and raster imaging correlation spectroscopy. It also acquires ratiometric, polarization, fluorescence, DC, AC and phase images and provides a broad variety of measurement options, including kinetics, particle tracking and time-lapse recording. The automated, upgradable, dual-channel system provides single- and multiphoton excitation and has separate pinholes on each channel to eliminate optical aberrations. Its frequency-domain-based FLIM measurements provide 10 times faster image acquisition than time-domain types. Users may choose between scanning mirrors or a piezo-controlled X-Y-Z stage.
