Michelson Diagnostics Ltd. has introduced the VivoSight, a multibeam OCT scanner with applications in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of various forms of cancer. The device uses a handheld probe to provide images of skin and other surface tissue with an isotropic resolution of >10 μm up to a depth of 2 mm. Its scan width can be varied up to 5 mm, and it scans at rates ranging from 6.5 to 35 fps. In the US, the scanner is available for nonclinical applications only.
