  • Ultraquiet Air Compressor
Dec 2009
Newport CorporationRequest Info
IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 29, 2009 – Newport Corp. has introduced the compact, ultraquiet ACWS air compressor that is clean, portable and more convenient than bottled air supplies. Fast-filling and economical, it can supply air to any of the company’s pneumatic isolators, optical table systems or workstations.

Newport_AirCompressor.jpgThe tanks are large enough to supply air for multiple workstations or table systems simultaneously, making the compressor an economical choice for new laboratories or for upgrading existing nitrogen-bottle configurations. It operates intermittently, based on air usage, and is monitored by a sensor that maintains the reserve tank’s preset minimum pressure. It operates quietly, producing 30 dB at 1 ft, and delivers precise vertical adjustment down to better than ±0.25 mm.

Release value sound level is 62 dB, and tank capacity is 1 liter. The compressor has an automatic turn-off switch.

All required hardware, i.e., the safety valve, gauges, outlet port, fittings and drain, comes standard. The package also includes a high-grade 5-µm air intake filter/regulator to complete the system. It removes contaminants from the air and guarantees maintenance-free operation.

For higher-capacity needs, the company offers the ACGP which provides the same ultraquiet performance for larger isolator systems. This model has a tank capacity of 3.5 liters and also includes an air intake filter/regulator and an automatic turn-off switch. It can be used with the company’s S-2000 Stabilizer family of isolators.
