Energetiq Technology Inc. has released its LDLS laser-driven light source technology, fully embodied in the compact EQ-99 long-life broadband source. It features CW laser plasma discharge, and the company says it delivers high brightness across the complete spectrum. Offering spatial as well as short- and long-term power stability, it provides repeatable measurements. The simplified optical system covers multiple wavelengths, eliminating the need for multiple lamps. Additionally, only minimal recalibration of the instrument is required, and its electrode-less operation reduces consumable costs. Applications include microscope illuminators, UV-VIS spectrometry, environmental analysis, materials characterization, gas phase measurement and high-performance liquid chromatography.
