Avago Technologies has introduced surface-mount-technology high-brightness oval and round LED lamps for use in indoor and outdoor electronic sign applications. Available in amber, red, green and blue, the round ALMD-xx3D and oval ALMD-Lx36 LEDs target manufacturers of full-color and monochrome traffic signs, highway variable message signs, gas station price signs and full-color video wall applications used for advertising. Made with an optical-grade epoxy for good performance in outdoor applications, they are compatible with industrial reflow soldering processes. Features include a compact form factor with a well-defined spatial radiation pattern, tinted lenses and a moisture sensitivity level of 2A. Viewing angle for the round models is 30° and, for the oval, 40° x 100°.
