SMITHFIELD, R.I., June 8, 2010 — Sperian Protection has extended its line of Crystal Clarity laser safety filters that provide high visual acuity. The dielectrically coated filters provide protection over a 30° angle of incidence in accordance with domestic and international laser eyewear standards ANSI 136.1 and EN 207. They are stable at all temperature levels and are 100% tested for optical density and pinholes. They also are very lightweight.

Filter 42 provides an EN 207 DIR L5 from 925 to 1060 nm and DIR L6 at 1064 nm. This crystal clear lens has a 92% visible light transmission, basically as clear as a window, thus allowing the user to easily see and distinguish all the colors of the spectrum. And it provides crystal clear optics.

Filter 40 provides good vision with a 72% visible light transmission and is suitable for use with most medical laser systems, offering protection from 755 to 810 nm and from 950 through the infrared up to 10,600 nm.

They are available in the Sperian New York spectacle design, which incorporates a number of comfort features, and in the Sperian Encore frame style, which also fits over corrective spectacles. The filters and frames all come with a lifetime guarantee, thereby ensuring a low cost of ownership.
