Endicott Research Group has unveiled two new LED driver boards that provide compact, economical solutions to OEM panel designers looking to get the maximum performance out of their displays. The SFDK devices are high-efficiency, dual-output driver boards with connectors on both sides of the printed circuit board. They provide a plug-and-play solution with a good cost/performance ratio for powering LED-backlit LCDs up to 22 in. in diagonal. The SFD2E LED driver is a new version of the company’s compact SFDE driver that delivers high power from a compact board. It is suitable for use with the high-power, high-brightness LED backlit units used in LCDs in the 10.4- to 24-in.-diagonal range and can drive up to eight LED strings from one output at a maximum current of 480 mA.
