The IMAQ PCI-1424 high-speed image acquisition board from National Instruments can capture large images from digital area- and line-scan cameras at rates up to 200 MB/s. It can acquire color and gray-scale digital images, control digital cameras, and buffer images for large image captures and sustained real-time throughput to PC memory. The PCI-1424 has an expandable memory of 8 to 72 MB. The board is compatible with digital cameras with resolutions of 8, 10, 12, 16, 24 and 32 bits, and is suitable for scientific image processing and machine vision.
