HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa., Sept. 1, 2010 — The 0703-1601-99 from The Fredericks Co. is the newest member of the company’s patented state-of-the-art TrueTilt product line. It is a mid-range single-axis electrolytic tilt sensor that provides repeatable angle measurement with a linear output.

It measures a full tilt range, replacing legacy designs that required multiple sensors.

The sensor provides a ±25° angle/±10° linear operating range, with resolution of 1 arcsec and null repeatability of ≤3 arcsec. Features include long-term stability over its angle and temperature ranges, a robust all-metal design, durability and good dimensional tolerances for high sensor-to-sensor electrical performance. It is easily mounted and soldered to printed circuit boards and requires no special packaging for extreme operating conditions.

Mounting offset is 1°, operating temperature is from -20 to 50 °C and nominal null impedance is 50 kΩ at 25 °C.

Applications include construction laser instruments and transits, wheel alignment equipment, geophysical and structural monitoring, machine tool/platform leveling, and medical positioning and monitoring.
