ATS RheoSystems has unveiled version 6.0 of its
RheoExplorer software package for viscometry applications. Designed to run under
32-bit Windows 2000 or XP, the updated program provides speed, flexibility and
operating stability for configuring and using rheology hardware from Reologica
Instruments. Via an Ethernet connection, it supplies high-speed data transfer and
control of a rheometer. It also is compatible with the Linux operating system within
the rheometer, enabling improved performance compared with previous versions. The
software features modules for steady shear viscometry, yield stress determination,
oscillation under strain and stress control, and creep and recovery. It enables
model fitting, relaxation spectra calculation and interconversion of rheological
data.
