Meller Optics Inc. offers custom-engineered optical domes for protecting detectors and sensors from water, chemicals, debris and corrosive materials. The domes feature viewing angles to 160° and can be manufactured with outside diameters up to 4 in. Available in a variety of materials, such as sapphire, quartz, glass, ZnSe, fused silica and silicon, these curved windows exhibit <25-µm wall thickness variation, <1 fringe per inch surface accuracy and finishes to 20-10 scratch-dig.
