The Gocator 2000 series 3-D laser line inspection sensors targeted at factory automation have been unveiled by LMI Technologies Inc. The all-in-one-design instruments rapidly deliver the advantages of 3-D measurement to the factory floor. They were developed to perform 3-D inspection and to integrate with factory input/outputs from a web browser, without requiring a systems integrator or machine vision expert to perform 3-D measurement. Users can connect, set up exposure and speeds, visualize profiles, measure dimensions, select communication outputs, and monitor results using Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome or Safari web browsers. This built-in web connectivity enables users to access the sensor from any PC without additional software, drivers, control boxes, amplifiers or dependency upon a specific operating system. Applications include automotive, electronics, transportation, rubber and tire, metals and wood.
