A standardized mechanical interface system for machine vision components has been released by autoVimation. The construction kit enables users to quickly and easily assemble image processing systems from prefabricated components. The flexible system is suitable for use in industrial environments and includes enclosures and mounting blocks that contain and protect all standard cameras, and also provide passive cooling. The dovetail profiles at the outer sides of the mounting blocks and housings allow users to directly attach lighting holders. Adapter plates enable the mounting and flexible adjustment of virtually any light source. A wide range of clamps and brackets allows for the assembly and adjustment of camera systems in plants and on machines.
