Fiber Strippers

Photonics Spectra
Nov 2010
Laser Components USA Inc.Request Info

Sterilizable MediStrip fiber strippers have been developed by Laser Components IG Inc. for use in laser medicine. The devices ensure the safe and easy removal of the buffer of an optical fiber during an operation. Special technical know-how is not required. The strippers are available on a standard basis for fibers with a core diameter from 200 to 1000 μm. Identification of the various types is made possible by clearly visible laser markings on both sides of the stripper. The reusable devices function reliably even after more than 100 sterilizations inside an autoclave. Validation of the sterilization process has proved that requirements for sterile products are fulfilled after completing the sterilization process.
