blue) multiLEDs for use in Dolby’s LED-backlit PRM 4200 professional reference
monitor support high technical standards for the monitor, which is designed for
professional content creation applications and targeted at production and postproduction
of movies and TV shows. The monitor uses 1536 Ceramos RGB LEDs, which offer a wide
color gamut, good color accuracy, a high dynamic range and true deep blacks. The
red, green and blue chips are positioned so that the color mix has the same appearance
when observed from a wide range of angles. The LEDs’ ceramic package measures
only 0.9 mm high and 3 x 4.5 mm, making the LEDs suitable for flat backlights. The
ceramic package material renders them stable, with negligible degradation in brightness
or drift in colors.
