Dominant Opto Technologies Sdn. Bhd. has introduced high-brightness AlInGaP LED devices with extended lifetimes. The Power DomiLED series DWx-PJG and DWx-PKG, alternatives to the existing AlInGaP DWx devices, complete the company’s medium-power LED product portfolio. The DWx-PKG series is resistant to sulfur corrosion. With an operating current of 50 mA, this LED features a luminous intensity of 2600 mcd, 7.2 lm (typical) for red; 3000 mcd, 8.0 lm (typical) for amber; and 3200 mcd,8.5 lm (typical) for yellow. The devices provide a long product lifetime because of their silicone encapsulation and the low thermal resistance of the housing, turning them into durable products in PLCC-4 packages measuring 3.2 x 2.8 x 1.6 mm. They are suitable for illumination applications with limited space, including channel lighting and signage.
