MajantysRequest Info
Majantys has released a new version of its miniature spectrophotometer, the Probe4Light, featuring an optical resolution down to 5 nm. The device, designed for the characterization of light sources, is compact, flexible and reliable. It has a miniature, rugged grating sensor for spectral and color parameter measurements over the visible spectrum from 380 to 780 nm. Initially designed with an optical resolution of 10 nm, it is now available with 5-nm FWHM optical resolution. The wavelength accuracy remains unchanged at 0.5 nm over the full spectral measurement range. It has a USB interface and may connect to any compatible PC running Windows operating systems.

optical resolution
A measure of image quality produced by an optical system. May be specified in terms of cycles per millimeter, referencing a repeating bar pattern; or angular resolution, referencing the angle subtended by two distant point sources that are just resolved by the system.
An instrument for measuring spectral transmittance or reflectance.
visible spectrum
That region of the electromagnetic spectrum to which the retina is sensitive and by which the eye sees. It extends from about 400 to 750 nm in wavelength.
