Sensors Unlimited – Goodrich ISR Systems has introduced a large-format InGaAs short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) snapshot video camera, the SU640KTS. The compact and high-resolution imager has met all Conformité Européene and US Federal Communications Commission standards for radiated and conducted emissions, for immunity from such emissions and for electrostatic discharge resistance. The solid-state, uncooled 640 x 512-pixel array camera with 25-μm pitch operates from 0.9 to 1.7 μm at 30 fps and features built-in nonuniformity correction, automatic gain control and adjustable automatic contrast enhancement. It offers EIA-170 analog video output and Camera Link compatibility for 12-bit digital imaging. Extensive camera commands and controls are available using the Camera Link interface or via a separate EIA232 interface. Applications include full-field OCT, hyper- and multispectral imaging, and machine vision of moving objects.
