ONTARIO, N.Y., April 15, 2011 — Rapid prototyping specialist Optimax has announced that it now offers lightweighted off-axis parabolas (OAPs) made from hard ceramic materials. The company says that the OAPs are free of print-through errors because it combines newly adopted ultrasonic brittle-material machining with proven deterministic correction techniques.

The company, which specializes in aspherical, cylindrical, spherical and plano/flat optics, makes all its parts to customer-supplied specifications, and it includes final inspection data with all produced optics.
