PROVIDENCE, R.I., Sept. 14, 2011 — A full line of CO2 lenses that feature a broad selection of focal lengths and low-absorption coatings for 100-W and up engraving and marking lasers is available from Laser Research Optics, a division of Meller Optics Inc. The lenses are optimized for 10.6 µm and are available in ½- to 1½-in.-diameter sizes with focal lengths from 1 to 25 in., in ½-in. increments. They feature <0.2% total absorption values and maintain sharper cuts with fewer passes. Their low-absorption coatings keep the lenses cooler and prolong their lifetimes. Featuring 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality and <λ/40 wave sphericity at 10.6 µm, the CO2 lenses meet OEM and ISO-10110 specifications for optical elements. They are available for Camtech, Emission, Epilog, Ferba, GCC laser Pro, Gravograph, Jamieson, Kern, Pinnacle, LST Lasers, Synrad, Trotec, Universal and Vytek lasers.
