BORDEAUX, France, Oct. 5, 2011 — ES Technology has developed a laser marking workstation that meets industrial requirements for individual metal or plastic parts or small series marking. Made of stainless steel, it may be used in all environments, including cleanrooms.
Four handles, compact dimensions of <1 m3 and low weight of <45 kg make the laser easy to transport from one place to another within a production unit. The lightweight (0.8 to 1.2 kg, depending on the model) laser head can be easily settled or removed because of a specially designed clamp.
The workstation includes proprietary Code ytterbium fiber lasers that ensure high reliability and low maintenance. It has a large Class 1 manual door and a safety vision window that measures 380 × 280 mm, complying with CE standards.
Via internal LED lighting, the operator can monitor the laser process. Two openings on the sides enable placement of very large parts, up to 1000 mm, inside the workstation. Included in the system are a working table, a 150-mm data processing Z column and a Harting connector.
Accessories such as a fume extractor, a capacitive sensor and a rotary module are available to adapt the system to specific applications.
The proprietary Mark graphical editor enables accurate control of the integrated ytterbium fiber laser. The Mark software is intuitive and easy to use, and it enables marking of logos, text and bar codes, even on cylindrical parts.
