Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing, a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc., has expanded its Skyquest family of video displays for air and ground surveillance. The Alpha series comprises compact, rugged stand-alone displays for airborne platforms. The Skyquest Alpha-2600-01 10.4-in. and the Skyquest Alpha-3800-01 15-in. displays simplify integration into size-, weight- and power-constrained airborne military, paramilitary, and search-and-rescue platforms. Both deliver 1024 x 768 (XGA) resolution and feature numerous input/output options for compatibility with the wide range of electro-optical turrets, cameras, moving maps and PCs. They use a dual-LED backlighting technology that enables them to deliver a high-brightness full-color display for direct-sunlight readability, while offering optional night-vision, goggle-filtered backlighting for night flying operations.
