SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 11, 2011 — BaySpec Inc. has announced enhancements to its fully automated Nomadic Raman microscope, extending its wavelength range to the 1700-nm near-infrared.

At the touch of the keyboard, customers can select 532-, 785- and 1064-nm or custom wavelengths with automated laser switching. The system features proprietary high-throughput Volume Phase Gratings and is configured with optimal cooling of the detector arrays to enable improved low-light spectral measurements.

The microscope offers a dispersive design with no moving parts, an integrated research-grade confocal microscope, and complete software for data and image analysis (PLS, MIA).
