BEIJING, Jan. 16, 2012 — The BLC-200 high-definition (HD) LCD cameras for microscopy manufactured by Bestscope International Ltd. combine a tablet PC and a digital camera. They preview, take snapshots and videos, and save them. They offer wireless transmission and 3-G Internet surfing, and have an aluminum C-mount that can connect to monocular, binocular, trinocular, stereo and dissecting microscopes and telescopes.

They include a 2-megapixel 1/3-in. CMOS sensor that delivers 1600 × 1200-pixel resolution and operates at 15 fps at full resolution. They produce high-quality, true-color images comparable to those obtained by CCDs.

Operating temperature is from −30 to 70 °C. Accessories include a 5-VDC 2500-mA power adapter, a USB cable and a user manual.

The 7-in. LED backlight HD LCD screen has a four-point capacitance touch screen and a gravity sensor.

The cameras are used in precision electronic assembly and quality control; research and development; academic demonstration; industrial optical inspection; and biological, medical, pharmaceutical, geologic, mineral, metallurgical and chemical research.
