CyberResearch Inc. has introduced CyMod modules for designing flexible distributed data acquisition and control systems using any PC or processor-based equipment with standard RS-232 serial ports. The modules can perform signal conditioning, linearization, scaling and conversion functions independently. Models are available to measure temperature, pressure, flow, voltage, current and digital signals. The modules can handle data transfers at speeds up to 38.4 kb/s, and as many as 128 modules can be networked on one system.
