MINNEAPOLIS, May 18, 2012 — PPT Vision has introduced the compact, entry-level MX20 vision processor to support simple machine vision applications with up to two cameras. It offers a cost-effective means to migrate from smart-camera applications to an embedded vision system. It features an Intel dual-core processor and two independent Power over Ethernet camera ports and allows distances of up to 100 m from the processor to the camera. It is easy to deploy and supports up to two 2-megapixel area-scan cameras. The just-released Impact Version 10.5 software supports the processor. Improvements have been made in the setups for the point-to-point and point-to-line measurement tools. Locating products and features is faster with the blob tool’s improved overlay refresh rates and the ability to report 360° blob orientation.
