SAN DIEGO, July 12, 2012 — For production line testing of thin-film optical coating display reflectance, Gamma Scientific has released the Display Reflectance Spectrophotometer System. The high-speed instrument captures precise, repeatable measurements of the antireflection optical coating on displays. With the option of excluding other reflective layers behind the first surface, the spectrophotometer provides high accuracy and versatility. It combines proprietary RadOMA spectroradiometers with optically stable and durable fixed-angle gonioreflectometer heads to test at production speeds. Low maintenance requirements ensure that the system will maximize production uptime. The spectroradiometers feature high sensitivity with good color, linearity and amplitude accuracy. The company’s goniospectroradiometers combine a six-axis robotic arm and spectroradiometer to capture measurements from any user-specified angle while the display remains stationary. The SLS 9400 tri-stimulus colorimeters with laboratory-grade, dual LCD/CRT measurement capability calibrate LCDs, LEDs, plasmas, video walls and projection screens for color accuracy, uniformity of brightness and white balance. The NVIS spectroradiometers feature accuracy, low maintenance and near-real-time measurement for night vision testing of cockpit displays and lighting. They exceed all requirements outlined in MIL-L-85762A and MIL-STD-3009. Also available are integrating spheres ranging in size from 25 mm to 3 m, with designs optimized for testing LEDs, fiber optics and display components.
