SAN DIEGO, Aug. 7, 2012 — Fastec Imaging has released the TS3 100 handheld high-speed digital video camera. The portable battery-operated camera combines high power, high speed, high resolution and good light sensitivity. It captures 500 fps at 1280 × 1024-pixel resolution and more than 20,000 fps at reduced resolution, rendering it suitable for broadcast, research and industrial applications. Featuring a built-in 7-in., high-resolution touch-screen LCD, it enables instant playback of footage out in the field. It operates off a 4-h battery. The intuitive point-and-shoot camera can also be controlled over Gigabit Ethernet via a PC or Mac, or over the Internet using a standard web browser for long-distance control. It features USB and secure digital (SD) ports, enabling users to easily download images to thumb drives, SD cards and portable hard drives. An optional built-in solid-state drive provides for up to 256 GB of nonvolatile internal storage, which allows for shooting all day long without having to download to a computer. It is used by researchers, manufacturers, and TV and film producers.
