LEXINGTON, Mass., Jan. 3, 2013 — The FlexScan-3D systems from Cambridge Technology Inc. are integrated three-axis solutions for scanning applications demanding high large-field, and 3-D processing speed and accuracy in a compact enclosure with industry-standard interfaces.

The systems are configurable and programmable, offer a diffraction-limited spot size and perform high-power laser handling. They use proprietary postobjective three-axis scanning technology and patented analog and digital galvo technology. With their state-of-the-art mirror design and CTI FlexScan-3D three-axis laser processing heads, they are suitable for complex industrial micro- and macrolaser materials processing applications.

They are available in both fiber and CO2, modular and enclosed configurations. Standard mirror apertures include 30 and 50 mm, providing a choice of field and delivered spot size. Optional features include digital control technology that can program the resulting field size and working distance through an external interface by accurately readjusting the internal optical path.

The company offers a line of compatible controller and software products.
