Banner Engineering Corp.Banner Engineering Corp. has introduced convergent-beam fibers that can detect objects as small as 0.2 mm. The P22-C1 and P12-C1 are bifurcated plastic fibers that pipe light to the sensing target, with a compact convergent sensing head assembly that positions the fibers to mechanically converge the emitted light 3 mm in front of the assembly. The fibers, which are unaffected by varying target color and reflectivity, are suitable for small-part-material handling, silicon wafer sensing, near-field product detection and limited space printing.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 1/18/2018Fiberguide RARe Motheye Fiber: Random Anti-Reflective (RARe) Nanostructures on Optical Fibers as Replacement for AR CoatingsAnti-reflective (AR) coatings are now entering their second century and have remained virtually unchanged throughout their life.
