ImagEM X2 EMCCD Camera
Hamamatsu CorporationRequest Info
HERRSCHING, Germany, March 4, 2013 — Hamamatsu Photonics Deutschland GmbH has launched the ImagEM X2 EM-CCD camera.
The electron-multiplying (EM) CCD camera features a back-thinned EMCCD sensor, maximum speed and precision for low-light imaging, and ultrafast exposures.
It has the sensitivity to provide visually pleasing and quantitatively meaningful images in a photon-starved environment. It delivers 70-fps readout at full 512 × 512-pixel resolution, with a high signal-to-noise ratio, enabling quantitative high-speed, low-light imaging.
When binning or a region of interest is selected, the camera produces images at even higher frame rates of up to 1076 fps.
Additional features allow for optimized camera triggering and streamlined connectivity through IEEE 1394b. The camera also has an increased non-electron-multiplying dynamic range and built-in EM gain measurement and calibration functions. Its software-controllable shutter prevents EM gain degradation and image lag.
