VELEN, Germany, March 26, 2013 — Teka GmbH has launched LFE, a laser extraction unit with Control Unit 3 digital steering. The mobile high-vacuum-extraction unit can be used for engraving, cleaning and cutting; it is especially suitable for continuous-running applications with high dust or fume rates.

After extracting and filtering the polluted air, it guides the clean air to the working space. The system, which has one or two high-pressure turbines, is fitted with a BIA M cartridge that filters more than 99 percent of hazardous substances. It can remove dust automatically, and it offers a dust collection drawer with tension lever and its own access door to ensure that the dust can’t pollute the inside of the device.

The new steering is equipped with an SD memory card that records warnings sent from the unit during operation so that customers, technicians and sales representatives can read the card with any PC or notebook, allowing errors to be localized and eliminated more easily. Software updates can be transferred, installed and used very quickly.
